Thanks to all who came and helped out on our bottle tombola at the Church’s summer fair yesterday.
The fair was a bit quieter than usual, so we only raised £28.60.

The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have been bag packing at Marks & Spencer today and we’ve made a whopping £579.12!

Many thanks to all who came and huge thanks to Sharon who organised it and Natasha who stayed all day!

The Group is pleased to announce that we have bought a new box trailer. This will enable us to take all the equipment for camps etc. in just one trailer, rather than lots of peoples’ cars.

We’d like to thank Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s Community Chest programme for a grant towards the cost of the trailer.

Back in June, the Beavers and Cubs did a sponsored walk around Westport Lake to raise money for the PDSA (see here).

All the money is finally in and counted and we’re pleased to announce that they raised a whopping £485.64 for the charity!

Well done to all who took part.

We had a cheque for £20 from our online shop the other day. Every time someone uses our shop to buy items over the internet, we receive a small percentage of the money paid to the retailer!

So when you need to do some online shopping, please remember our online shop and help us raise funds for the Group – it doesn’t cost you any extra!

Thanks to the Beaver and three Cubs who turned up today to help at the Church’s summer fair. We raised £33 for the Church funds.

The Beavers and Cubs have spent this evening walking round Westport Lake to raise money for the PDSA.

The Beavers walked around the larger lake and then the small one and then played some games while the Cubs walked around the large lake four times.

We’re not sure how much money the Beavers and Cubs raised yet, but we’re sure they have raised a considerable amount. All had a great evening out.

Some of the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, along with some of our friends from Centurion Explorers went bag packing at the weekend. We went to Sainsbury’s in Hanley and were there on both the Saturday and Sunday.

Due to the magnificent efforts of those who went, we managed to raise over £1000! Well done to all who helped.
