On Saturday 18th March our Scouts joined Scouts from around the District at the Guide campsite at Maer for a night hike.<\/p>\n

Once their tents etc were set up, the Scouts had to learn how to use 6 figure grid references, how to use a compass and walk on a bearing and how to locate their position on a map.
\nAfter this they had a map symbols challenge.<\/p>\n

After tea, the Scouts were taken to\u00a0Swynnerton, the starting point for the hike and the hike route was around 5.5 miles long.<\/p>\n

After navigating their way back to the campsite, it was time for bed!<\/p>\n

The following morning, breakfast was eaten, tents were packed away and it was time for home.<\/p>\n

Everyone had a great time.<\/p>\n
