One hundred years ago today, more than two and a half years\u00a0into the Great War and only a day after the last Porthill Scout was killed in the Great War, Private Reginald Showan 13503, \u201cD\u201d Company, 9th Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment was killed in action aged 20.<\/p>\n

Reginald\u00a0was a Porthill Scout, and was the tenth of eighteen of our Scouts, that we know of, that were killed in the Great War.<\/p>\n
