Yesterday in Newcastle town centre, it was the annual Grow Fest (formally Food Fest) and the Drums were there to entertain the shoppers. They were there as part of the District\u2019s participation<\/a> in the event to raise money for Scouting and to raise awareness of Scouting in our local community.<\/p>\n

As part of the day, various Scouting awards were made by our County Commissioner Jackie Brocklehurst, The Worshipful the Mayor of Newcastle-under-Lyme Councillor Simon White & Her Majesty\u2019s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire Mr Ian Dudson. One of these was a 5 Year Service Award to Alan Banks –\u00a0 congratulations Alan and thanks you for the last 5 years!<\/p>\n
