Last weekend (18 – 19th September 2021), the Group managed to go camping for the first time in 22 months!<\/p>\n

Everyone came out on the Saturday morning with the Cubs and Scouts putting up their tents sraight away!
\nOnce tents were up everyone went for a walk around Kibblestone as, for some, it was the first time they’d been! After lunch everyone was split into groups of a Beaver, Cub and Scout and they were sent on a huge wood gathering exercise (for fires).<\/p>\n

While in their groups everyone had a go at toasting marshmellows, being blindfolded and following a rope trail with the support of the others in their group and learning how to start a fire (a favourite of the Beavers!).<\/p>\n

Before a BBQ tea, the Beavers went home, via the camp shop!<\/p>\n

Following on from a good running around wide game, it was time for the traditional camp fire. We were a little rusty and a few words were forgotten (it has been nearly 2 years!), but everyone had fun. Then it was time for bed.<\/p>\n
