Below is a photo of some of the Scouts and some of Porthill’s Guides at Heighley Castle, near Madeley, in June 1940.
One of the Scouts is Frank Simpson, whose photo this is, and he’s either the Scout with glasses at the front or the Scout to his left in the beret. We’re not too sure which though, as Frank’s eyesight isn’t as good as it used to be and he couldn’t tell who was who!
