After last week’s Remembrance Day parade, which was more of a serious occasion, this weekend the Beavers, Cubs and Drums got all Christmassy!
Firstly the Beavers and Cubs had their Christmas Camp at Kibblestone. They made cards, Christmas decorations, mince pies and gingerbread houses, used Kibblestone’s new indoor caving experience (not particularly Christmassy, but good fun) and played party games. Santa even made a lightning quick visit to deliver some early presents and asked Sharon to give them out on his behalf, so long as she wore an Elf outfit.
After a campfire sing along and supper the Beavers went home, leaving the Cubs to play a widegame before bed.
The following morning the Cubs went home after breakfast. More photos are available here.
The camp had to finish a bit earlier than normal as some of the Cubs had to rush off into Newcastle to play with the Drums in the town’s Christmas parade. Like last year they went through the town welcoming Santa to Newcastle.
