Scout Association Capitation Fees 2015

The Scout Association Capitation fees (annual membership fee including young person’s insurance) are now due. The fee for all Group members is £32 each. It has to be paid directly to the Scout Association to run the organisation.

The swift collection of this membership fee is vital to the future of the Group. The Group Executive Committee therefore has requested that all fees must be paid by Friday 27th March 2015. If your child’s fees are not paid by that date then, unfortunately, they will no longer be able to attend.

This year, for the first time, we are able to accept payments via our website or by direct payment in person by credit or debit card.

The payments are processed by PayPal, in the same way you can pay online from other retailers. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay (you can use your credit or debit card) and all the payments are taken via PayPal’s website, so you can be sure that your details are secure and we do not keep any of your card details. Once the payment has been made, you will receive a receipt via email.

To pay in person using credit or debit card, we have a chip and pin machine, provided by PayPal. Again all the payment details are done via PayPal and we do not have access to your details. Once payment has been made, you will receive a receipt via email.

We will be accepting these payments for Scouts on Tuesday 24th February and Tuesday 3rd March between 8.00 & 8.30pm.

For Beavers and Cubs on Friday 27th February and Friday 6th March between 7.00 & 7.30pm.

If you wish to pay by cash or cheque, please send this to your child’s next Scout / Cub / Beaver meeting. Receipts will be provided for any money paid; please make cheques payable to “1st St Andrews Porthill Scout Group”.

If your child is a new member please can you ask to complete a Gift Aid declaration form (available from section leaders). Last year we got £1400 back via Gift Aid. THIS IS FREE MONEY FOR THE GROUP FOR VERY LITTLE EFFORT.
