Last Saturday (1st August), a Family Fun Day was held at Bradwell Lodge in support of the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young. As part of the day, our Drum Corps was invited to play. At 10am they paraded around grounds of the Lodge with the Newcastle-under-Lyme Mayor, Cllr. Sandra Hambleton and the Town Cryer, Gordon Brayford.
The Town Cryer opened the event after which the Drums played a short set. They played again a little later in the arena.

The day also marked the 108th birthday of Scouting and World Scout Scarf Day.
We were very please to see a picture of our friend, Scoutmaster Jerry Schleining from BSA Troop 664 of Gresham Oregon USA, wearing one of our neckers!
