One hundred years ago today, over a year into the Great War, Private Joseph Simpson, 1638, 20th Battalion Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), was killed in action

Joe was a Porthill Scout, and was the third of eighteen of our Scouts, that we know of, that were killed in the Great War.

You can read his full story here.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
