Yesterday, members of the Group spent the day at the Apedale Valley Railway’s Tracks to the Trenches event. We weren’t there to look at the exhibits, but to help parking cars on the car park.

Checking out the car park!

Our Explorer, Scouts, Cub and Beaver did an excellent job in getting the car parked safely, especially when one car got stuck in the mud and we had to quickly reorganise the parking!

As well as working hard parking the cars, everyone got to see the event itself with all the trains, the trench, the re-enactors in all their different army uniforms and the cavalry charging across the field blowing their bugles and firing their rifles!

Many members of the public commented on how polite our young people were and we agree that they are all a credit to our Group!

More photos are in the Gallery.
