Dear Drummers and Parents
Details for iScout event – Saturday 17 September
As you know the Drum Corps have been invited to play at the iScout event this Saturday in Newcastle town centre
We have been asked to play 3 times during the day
- 10.00am – leading a parade up the Ironmarket to the Market Cross where the Lord Mayor will officially open the event
- 12 noon – a static display outside the Guild Hall, which will last between 20-30minutes
- 2.00pm – leading a parade of flags following the same route from the Queens Gardens to the Market Cross where awards will be given out
Can all drummers meet at 9.30am at the Cenotaph (outside St Giles Church) – from here we will march to the Queens Gardens in time to be ready for the 10.00am start.
In between displays we are hoping to have somewhere available to store the kit – we’ll advise of the location on the day.
In between the displays, parents will have responsibility for their own children so if you leave the event in between displays please let a leader on site know so that arrangements can be made as to where to meet up again.
Any questions please speak to either John, Alan or myself
Lyndon
