Last weekend (18 – 19th September 2021), the Group managed to go camping for the first time in 22 months!

Everyone came out on the Saturday morning with the Cubs and Scouts putting up their tents sraight away!
Once tents were up everyone went for a walk around Kibblestone as, for some, it was the first time they’d been! After lunch everyone was split into groups of a Beaver, Cub and Scout and they were sent on a huge wood gathering exercise (for fires).

While in their groups everyone had a go at toasting marshmellows, being blindfolded and following a rope trail with the support of the others in their group and learning how to start a fire (a favourite of the Beavers!).

Before a BBQ tea, the Beavers went home, via the camp shop!

Following on from a good running around wide game, it was time for the traditional camp fire. We were a little rusty and a few words were forgotten (it has been nearly 2 years!), but everyone had fun. Then it was time for bed.

Sunday morning greeted us with some rain, which turned into a lovely sunny morning, which was just enough to dry off the tents!

After breakfast it was time to pack, visit the shop and go home.

A great time was had by all and it was great to see the Beaver, Cubs and Scouts on camp again.

You can see photos from the camp here and here.
