The Group is extremely saddened to hear of the death, early this morning, of our old friend Donald Hickton (senior).
As a boy, Don was a member of our Scout Troop. As an adult, he was a Leader, latterly Group Scout Leader, of our friends at 50th Stoke on Trent and Newcastle, 1st Bradwell St. Barnabas Scout Group. Possibly Don’s greatest achievement was starting the first Beaver Colony in the area, possibly in England!
Our condolences are with Margaret, Don’s wife, and the whole of the Hickton family.
